Thank you, Thanksgiving!

Thank you, friends!
Thank you,  colorful leaves.
Thank you, quiet mornings.
Thank you, family!
Thank you, kindergarten!
Thank you, hearts full of love.
Thank you, blessings from above!

If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is "thank you"...then it will be enough.

We Are Mathematicians!

We have been working on creating patterns, building numbers, and identifying number partners.  Here are some mathematicians busy at work!

Writing the number 5!

What might be partners of 10?

Designing an "AB" pattern!

Can you find the puzzle piece that extends the pattern?

Patterns with people!
Spin!  Think of partners!  Make an equation!  5+3=8

5+1=6
A long curvy pattern of jack-o-lanterns and pumpkins!

Comparing number towers...8 is more than 3!

What is one more?  2 plus 1 more is 3.  6 plus 1 more is 7.  9 plus 1 more is 10.

Building numbers using a " 5 group"!   5+3 = 8 and 5+5=10
Patriotic patterns!

Our Apologies!

Here are some apologies we created and wrote about at school.
Please know that we "PRETENDED" to make a bad choice or do something on accident.
What a great skill to have in life!

Please take the time to ask your child how to make an apology.
Hopefully they can tell you the 3 parts of an apology.
You might want to start using this kind of an apology at home.

MAKING AN APOLOGY

We are learning to make apologies.
We are learning that it's okay to make mistakes.
We are learning that sometimes accidents happen.
We are learning that being kind and caring means we sometimes say, "I'm sorry."

An apology has three parts:
Part One:  Saying "I'm sorry."
Part Two:  Saying what we are sorry for doing/saying.
Part Three:  Asking for forgiveness.

Stay tuned...tomorrow we will show you some apologies!
